He advises institutions on student, financial, and human capital management systems, with expertise in strategy, project management, organizational development, and Oracle applications.
About Ted
Ted advises higher education institutions and academic medical centers on enterprise technology strategy, implementation, and optimization. His experience spans Oracle Cloud applications, including Student, Human Capital Management (HCM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Planning and Budgeting solutions, as well as Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, HCM, and Financials.
He has served in functional and technical roles and led project management, quality assurance, strategic planning, and business process optimization efforts. Ted also brings experience from within higher education, having held roles in information technology, academic affairs, enrollment management, research administration, and program management.
Throughout his career, Ted has:
- Served as Executive Sponsor for an Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, and Planning and Budgeting implementation at a public research university and academic medical center in the Northeast. This initiative enabled the institution to operate on a unified enterprise platform, improving cross-functional decision making, financial transparency, and workforce planning across academic, research, and clinical operations.
- Led an Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, and Planning and Budgeting implementation at a public research university in the Southwest, helping standardize administrative processes and modernize core systems, position the university to scale operations, improve service delivery, and support long-term strategic growth.
- Served as Executive Sponsor for Oracle Cloud implementations at private and public research universities in the Southwest and Northeast, guiding executive leadership teams through enterprise transformation initiatives that strengthened governance, accelerated adoption, and delivered sustainable operational improvements.
- Overseen a cloud assessment and road map engagement for a large public university system in the Midwest. He developed a systemwide modernization strategy that aligned technology investments with institutional priorities while creating a clear path to reduce complexity and improve operational effectiveness.
- Led a business process optimization engagement for a private research university in the Southeast, redesigning enterprise business processes to improve efficiency, enhance stakeholder experiences, and establish a scalable operating model for future growth.
- Developed a cloud applications strategy and launched an enterprise systems implementation at a public research university in the West, establishing a long-term enterprise technology vision that aligned administrative modernization efforts with the university's strategic, academic, and research objectives.
Ted previously spent more than six years at Huron before serving as a Managing Director at Deloitte. He returned to Huron in 2026. Earlier in his career, he held strategy and leadership roles at Sierra-Cedar and the Higher Education User Group (HEUG). He also served in multiple roles at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland.
Ted completed executive education in Leading Professional Service Firms at Harvard Business School. He earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in information systems from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Maryland.
He is a member of the American Council on Education (ACE), the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), and EDUCAUSE.
