About Christian
Christian works with healthcare organizations to address challenges that span strategy, contracts, supply chain, technology, laboratory services, biomedical and clinical engineering, and implementation management. He helps clients develop future-state operating models, identify cost and working capital opportunities, optimize procure-to-pay processes, and translate strategic priorities into sustainable operational improvements. Christian is an adjunct faculty member in supply chain and operations management at the university level.
He brings deep transaction experience in healthcare mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on contracting, operations management, and integration planning and execution. Christian helps organizations deploy enterprisewide contracting strategies for Day 1 readiness, tailored to the transaction type, purchase arrangement, and transition services agreement (TSA). He helps assess the supply chain implications of acquisitions and integrations and then identify value creation and risk mitigation opportunities as organizations combine operations.
Across his career, Christian has:
- Led the contracts, supply chain, biomedical engineering, laboratory services, and ERP workstreams through Day 1 readiness and post-close integration of a Chapter 11, Section 363 asset sale acquisition. He executed over 400 contracts in nine months, avoiding $12.7 million in cure costs, transitioning group purchasing organization (GPO) and distributor relationships, and completing ERP deployment in less than three and a half months post-close.
- Analyzed supply waste and inefficiencies for a 33-hospital health system, identifying more than $30 million in annual wasted supplies associated with preference card management.
- Conducted an insourcing versus outsourcing assessment for regional distribution centers, long-haul transportation, and courier services for a major nonprofit healthcare system, identifying $40 million to $50 million in net present value over a five-year span.
- Designed a five-year supply chain strategy and future-state operating model for a $10 billion integrated health system, helping reduce procurement and strategic sourcing costs by more than 15%.
- Led a 20-week enterprise resource planning optimization for a nonprofit healthcare organization, improving processes across procure-to-pay, accounts payable, and payroll management.
- Developed a supply chain resilience strategy and three-year transformation road map for an academic medical center to define and improve tier-N supplier visibility, implement scenario planning and tabletop war-gaming, and develop policies and risk response processes.
- Directed a working capital improvement engagement for a super major oil and gas company by developing a five-year transformation road map to reduce $1 billion in inventory by over 50% and sustainably improve turnover rates to match engineering innovation cycles.
- Transformed rental equipment and guest experience for a global leisure and hospitality company, tripling rental volume with less than a 30% increase in direct labor requirements.
Before joining Huron, Christian was a Senior Manager at EY, where he advised healthcare, local government, oil and gas, consumer goods, and industrial manufacturing organizations on supply chain and operations transformation. Earlier in his career, he held global supply chain roles at Halliburton, a major oilfield services organization, working across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East in planning, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, and country operations. That operating background gives him firsthand experience designing, operating, and optimizing complex global supply networks, a perspective that continues to inform how he advises clients today.
